Working as a hygienist has been very rewarding for me. I like meeting people, educating them and helping do their best with their oral homecare. I like the physical part of cleaning teeth, to see the before and after. I really enjoy working with everyone at Dr. Guiv’s and Dr. Nejat’s offices because together we make a great team. Everyone is compassionate, hard working and genuinely nice. We all enjoy each other’s company and have fun together in and out of the office.

I have been married for 5 years and we have 2 very cute kittens named Piper and Mr. Magoo. They are our 4 legged children.

The use of new methods, diagnostics, treatments, and materials are the key components in the success of my patients’ treatment outcome. Therefore, I have completed extensive continuing education throughout the years on topics ranging from implant surgery and advanced occlusion to periodontal treatments and the latest in diagnostics and treatment planning.
To have the right mix of individuals to make up a winning team is challenging. I feel very fortunate to have such a team. I have worked with some of my team members for a long time and some others less, but we have created a high level of synergy, affinity, and common goals between us, which aides in running a great practice.

I was born in Rome, Italy, and lived in Teheran, Iran, New York, New Jersey, Utah, and College Park, Maryland before settling down in Howard County. I’ve lived here for 26 years with my wife. It’s been a wonderful community in which we raised our three children. My hobbies include running, biking, reading, and of course, spending time with my family and friends.

Hygienist
It is hard to say why I chose dentistry, though in the 26 years I’ve been in practice, I have never seen myself doing anything else. I believe that everyone has to choose a path at one point in their life. I chose dentistry because I have always loved science and working with my hands, and I have come to cherish the relationships I’ve built with my patients and their families. My ultimate satisfaction comes from my patients having healthy, functional, comfortable and esthetically pleasing dentition.
